Ads for Recital Program

We still have a few ad spaces to fill in the Recital Program. Get those ads in by Friday, May 11, 2012. These can be from area businesses or just a reserved space for you to brag on your dancers!

Recital Program Ad Sales are due May 4th

Ad sales can be for area businesses or family wishing their little dancer Good Luck! If you want to know if the advertising works, It does! Last year we advertised our Trash Company and someone called from the audience during the recital and signed up! The dancer that sells the most ads will be rewarded with a full page ad with their picture on it! Please turn in any artwork or pictures you want in the program when you turn in your order, along with the money. Make checks payable to Center Stage Dance Academy.

Thirty-One Fundraiser ends Friday

Friday is the deadline for the Thirty-One fundraiser orders! Please visit my website to place your order, www.mythirtyone.com/shellybrown/. With every $31 you spend, you can purchase a mini utility bin for $8. They make great Easter baskets! Orders should be in by Easter, April 8, 2012.

Competition Showcase this Saturday, March 10

Dancers call is at 1:00 p.m., performance will begin at 2:00 p.m. at the Bolivar High School Auditorium. Admission is free so invite all your friends, neighbors and family.

We will also have a silent auction on two Thirty-One totes. The totes will go home with the highest bidder. All proceeds from the auction will financially support some of the Center Stage dancers who are performing in the Macy's parade.

In addition, you will be able to order Thirty-One products from the Center Stage March Fundraiser. 10% of the commission will be donated to the Macy's parade fund.

You, too, can be a R.I.O.T.

I want to encourage all parents, grandparents, whoever wants to be a part of the fun to come to the R.I.O.T. (Really Incredibly Old Teenagers) class and get involved. It is a lot of fun and it really makes you feel like part of the studio family. We will start practicing on April 5th after competition is over on Thursday nights from 6:15 – 7:15.

Traditionally, we perform at the recital in June. Hope to see you all there!

Get Your Tutu On

February and March are “Get Your Tutu On” months! Dancers are also selling tutus for $12 and we can make them the way you like! Encourage your child to wear their tutu to dance class and support our dancers! We are going to raffle off a special tutu with beads and a boa to match that will be given away on March 10th at the Competition Showcase!!! You do not need to be present to win! Tickets for the tutu are 50 cents each or 12 for $5! Thanks for all your support!!!!

Thirty-One Fundraiser

We will be hosting a Thirty-One party as a fundraiser on Saturday, February 18th at 5:30 pm at the studio. Please, oh please, come and support our dancers who are raising money to go to New York.

If you can’t make the party and want to purchase something I will have books lying out in the break room, just let me know your order and I will get it for you. We earn and extra 15% of the consultants profit after the % earned from sales!

Also, we are raffling off a “Center Stage” sling bag, tickets are 50 cents each or 12 tickets for $5! We will draw on the 18th at the party. You do not need to be at the party to win!!!

Talent on Parade Competition

Center Stage will be participating in the Talent on Parade competition again this year. The regional competition is in Joplin, Missouri at the Taylor Auditorium on the Missouri Southern campus from March 16-18, 2012. Those who qualify may go to the national competition at the Tulsa Convention Center in Tulsa, Oklahoma on June 19-24, 2012.

Competition Fees due January 20, 2012

All competition fees, tuition and costume balance must be paid in full by January 20, 2012. If you have any questions, don't hesitate to see me. Thank you for your understanding.

Lodging

Center Stage has blocked rooms at the Drury Inn in Joplin. You do not have to stay at this hotel, but we have stayed there before and loved it! More info about this hotel will be included in a packet that we will send home with your dancer. Make  your reservations before February 10th!

Shirts

We will be wearing matching shirts at the competition. The shirts help us stand out as a team and make a great cover up. However, you do not have to buy a competition t-shirt. You are encouraged to wear all your Center Stage attire to show you studio spirit! If you want to buy a Center Stage warm up suite, dance bag or garment bag, please send me your order asap.

Extra Practices and Showcase Scheduled

We have schedule extra practices for those going to competition on Saturday, February 18, February 25, and March 3. We will also have a competition showcase on Saturday, March 10 at 2:00 at the Bolivar High School. These practices are mandatory, you are only allowed to miss  one practice. Mark your calendars.
