December newsletter is published!

Let me apologize for the delay in receiving this month’s newsletter. I have been having computer problem after computer problem and it has really put me behind!! The studio has been very busy with the Nutcracker performances, preparing for the Bolivar Christmas Parade, costume orders, decorating and all kinds of stuff. This is just a busy time of year!! Thank you for your patience. I hope the GOING GREEN has made life easier for you and now that my computer situation seems to be on the up I will try to keep it more up to date! I will get into a good habit of giving any changes or updates on the blog which can be reached through the website under “current students” or go to www.bolivarcenterstagedance.blogspot.com . I hope you have all signed up for updates to be received when new information is posted.

Nutcracker Performance Thurs. December 10th at Buffalo

Please be at the Buffalo Elementary School no later than 1:20pm. The show must start no later than 1:40pm to make sure we will have enough time to prepare for the second show.
Directions: go straight through light at intersection of 32 & 65, turn left on first street (Hickory St.). It should be on left. Park in the south parking lot, which is the first parking lot on the left. We will perform in the cafeteria. DON'T BE LATE!!!

November Newsletter is Available!

The November Newsletter is available on the website. Be sure to check it out for all the latest at the studio!!

FYI - Center Stage will be hosting a New Year's Eve Teen Night! Bring in the New Year at Center Stage, for 6th grade and up, including high school! The cost is $10 per person, which includes food, drinks, party favors, games, everything! You won't need to bring any extra money!! Read all about it in the Newsletter and tell your friends!! Be sure to make your reservation now!!

Costume Balance

Costume balances are due by November 15th. Please make sure you pay your costumes in full by this date or you will not recieve a costume. They will be ordered during Thanksgiving break and I will not front any money!! Also, please note that any outstanding accounts must be paid up in order to have your costumes ordered. Thank you for your understanding in this matter.

Center Stage is going green

In an effort to save a few trees and to save myself (and you) a few dollars, I will begin publishing all information on this blog instead of the printed newsletter. This change will take place beginning with the November newsletter. I will also be emailing a pdf of the newsletter by request. If you do not have email, please let me know and I will print a copy for you in the office.

Secret Santa Shop

Center Stage will be hosting a Secret Santa Shop for children to come and shop for Christmas presents for their parents, siblings, grandparents, etc. Gifts price range from $1.00 to $5.00 .Center Stage will help the child pick out the gift and wrap it at no extra charge. Parents may drop off their child to shop or enjoy some tea and desserts from “Grammy Cakes” while their child shops. This is also a great time for parents to shop in the dance store for their child, or look through dancewear catalogs and place orders.

Secret Santa Shop will be open on Saturday, December 5th, and again on Saturday, December 19th from 10am – 2pm.

Electra Blue Chili Fundraiser at BHS

The following dances will perform at the Electra Blue Chili Fundraiser at BHS on Saturday, October 24th at 6:40pm, dancers call is 6:15pm. This is only a 15 minute slot, so not many could perform. Let me know if you can not make this performance!!

Pick up your child inside the studio

Please plan to come inside to pick up your child. Children will not be allowed to wait outside the studio for safety reasons.

Halloween Night Haunted House

Center Stage and the Bolivar Downtown Committee have joined together to bring Bolivar a Halloween Night Haunted House!! This Haunted House cost $1 to get in and it is open to the public. The doors will open at 6pm, so bring your friends and come by for a scare!! We will tame it down for younger kiddos, and of course turn it up for the big ones!! We will be handing out candy as well, so be sure to stop by! Bring the whole family and tell all your friends! We will still be having our annual Fall/ Halloween party at the studio as well with the spooky walk through for all of the students, but it is not the same as the Haunted House!!

Fundraiser

We are doing a fundraiser for the dance studio and your child should be bringing home the information by the week. There are some awesome prices your child can win for selling candles to help the studio raise money for a new trophy case and to help send all students interested in going to the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade in 2011. You must be a high school student to attend. This is an expensive trip so we are going to be doing lots of fundraisers to help with the costs!! Candles are in the office for you to smell and see. They are wonderful candles that last a long time and fill the house with yummy smells. They are great gifts as well, so go out there and SALE SALE SALE!! Please collect the money when you place the order. Orders are due by Monday, October 26th to ensure that they will be in before Thanksgiving. Thank you for your help and support in the fundraiser!!

Sale on dancewear

We have a lot of stuff on sale in the store right now trying to clear out the older stuff to hopefully bring in some new before the holidays. If you see something you really like and I don’t have your size I can get it for you, just ask. Make sure you get your students shoes and the proper attire now!!! We are going to be very strict on what your child is wearing during dance class this year!!!! Please refer to the Welcome to Center Stage to know what your child should be wearing to dance class. NO JEANS!! Tights and leotards, please!!!! If you have any questions, see Miss Terri.

We are off to another great year...

Well, we are off to another great year and already it seems things are flying by! Lot’s of stuff coming up, so make sure you don’t miss out on anything!! If you haven’t ordered your shoes yet, now is a great time to do that. I would like to apologize for some of the delays in shoe orders. It seems this year was really bad for back orders, but I think most of them should be coming in by now. Sorry again for the delay!

To all my performers that did the various shows over the past few weeks, Thank you Thank you!! You all make us look sooo good and make me sooo proud!! Thank you for your time and dedication, I truly appreciate all you do, and of course I love watching all of you dance!! Thank you parents for your dedication as well, I know all of you are busy and I truly appreciate all you do for the studio!!

Don’t forget to pay your Costume Deposits by October 15th, costumes should be posted by the end of the month! Enjoy your October and have a fun and safe Halloween!!
